This week, we’re pretty much done with grilling for quite awhile. It’s cold enough we’re going to have a hearty soup for one meal. We’ll be doing some good Mexican naked burritos, as well as some Italian and Chinese. We’ll also do some good country cooking, both like your French grandma used to make, as well as your New Englander grandma, if you had one. And your Jewish grandma. And your trendy(for a grandma) grandma from Seattle. If you had any of those kinds of grandmas. You need to be logged in to see the rest of this page. [...]
This week we’re having a special seasonal “lasagne” with no noodles; and an Asian pot roast that will turn into Egg Foo Young later in the week. We’ll also hit the Catalan region of Spain and southern France, as well as the American Southwest. Bonus recipe is also seasonal: who wants a cookie, if you can have one with no wheat or sugar? It’s still warm enough to grill here once in awhile, so this week there is a fun Asian-inspired meal you can make on whatever warm day you have. We also venture towards Greece this week with a traditional, pastaless Pasticcio and hit each coast of the U.S. Bonus recipe is a tasty coconut-flour pound cake you can use as the base for all kinds of desserts, or ice with stevia-sweetened whipped cream to eat on its own. And new this week: easier menu navigation with clickable links!

In my area, the leaves are finally starting to turn, and apple season is in full swing. So are fall gardens, which is why I’m using a few spring items again that many people plant for fall use. We’ll have a pork loin and sides with classic flavors of fall as well as a seafood dish with fall garden flavors; a couple of Mediterranean nights; and then head east with a couple of nights in India before we head home for a classic Chinese-American-style supper. The bonus recipe this week is really fun, versatile, and involves chocolate! You need [...]
This week we’re going to spend most of our time around the Mediterranean. From a crockpot chicken with Greek/Italian flair that will get a new twist in wraps later in the week, to Italian sausages that will put the ones at the fair to shame, and an interesting French tuna salad, we come back to the U.S. with great big inside-out burgers and spicy Deviled Pork Chops. The bonus recipe this week is for intriguing seasonal non-alcoholic coolers your whole family will love. You need to be logged in to see the rest of this page. Use the login [...]
