This Week’s Menu

Benefits

Living well does not mean having to live extravagantly.  Good life menus is about living well on less: less money, less time, less effort, less waste.  But more time with your family; more flavors; more health!

Menus use seasonal ingredients and methods, so you won’t be buying higher-priced out-of-season produce.  And you won’t be heating up the kitchen simmering something for the hours in mid-summer or freezing outside grilling something in January.  Make good use of your organic garden, farmer’s market or CSA!

No ultra-exotic ingredients in the main menus.  And no using only half of something.  If one menu calls for half the jar of olives, rest assured the other half will be used later in the week.  Meaning no fridge monsters a month later.

No artificial sweeteners.  Recipes use stevia for sweetening, in the rare cases where it’s needed, as in a dessert recipe.  No soy, either, except in very rare instances.

Menus include planned leftovers to cut down cooking time on subsequent nights, and to provide easy low-carb lunches for the family member needing them.  Less time in the kitchen means more time for fun!

Reminders on each day’s plan for anything that has to be done ahead, like marinating something or boiling eggs–again, a time-saver.  Having the recipe but forgetting to marinate the meat can result in another call to China King.  Or dry meat.

Yet more of your time and money that can be used for other purposes because of a set of tips that help you cook this way more inexpensively yet!

With different recipes every night, and rare repeats, you won’t get in a cooking rut.  Recipes are easy, but interesting enough to keep foodies happy.  Most meals have a prep or complete time of under 25 minutes (prep time if roasting, slow cooking, broasting etc.).

But what if there is only one person in the family who needs to eat a special diet?    You’re not going to end up cooking two separate meals, as happened with one similar menu service I’ve tried.  Ideas and suggestions to keep everyone happy and well-fed are included.

Tame the pickiness monster!  Subscription includes access to my article on ideas that work.  Kids that aren’t picky results in less work and cost for you.
