Menu for the Week of March 13, 2010

Last week’s bonus was a Sponge Cake recipe, and I hope you all still have it!  It’s key for the Tiramisu recipe this week.  And in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, we’re going to see a fair amount of green this week, using lettuces and spinach.  The lettuce won’t be just in salad.  If we use things like kale and other greens in soup, why not lettuce?  We’ll also deconstruct the typical corned beef and cabbage St. Patrick’s meal by doing the corned beef in Cream of Ruben Soup, and the cabbage in a slow-cooked Savory Pork with Cabbage.  Other meals on the menu include Spicy Ginger and Lemon Chicken, Crispy Parmesan Fish, Baked Jalapeño Poppers, Pork Chops Florentine, an omelet, tournedos and more. Subscribers get the complete menu, recipes and coded shopping list!
