Menu for the Week of November 14, 2009

After having a cold snap in early October here, where we had to wear coats when normally we’re still in shorts, it’s finally been warmish the last couple of weeks.  I was counting on getting to grill out a while longer, so my “barbecue quotient” was lacking for this year.  So this week, we’re going to have an indoor barbecue in the slow cooker, using leftover pork roast with fall flavors that meld nicely into classic barbecue.  We’ll also do more around the Mediterranean, hitting France and Italy.  And my son is thrilled I have his favorite creamy, meaty comfort food on the menu this week–without all the junk such things usually contain!
